Continental AG is a manufacturer of tires, brake systems, vehicle stability control systems, and other automobile parts based in Hanover, Germany. Continental, or Conti for short, has 69,000 employees and an annual revenue of 11.5 billion euros (2003). The company was founded in 1871 as a rubber manufacturer.
