ConsumerAffairs is a for-profit business based in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It presents itself as a consumer organization.

Criticism

In 2014, ConsumerAffairs was harshly critiqued by Truth in Advertising for providing glowing reviews to "accredited" companies, i.e., those that had paid it a fee, while negatively rating all those that had not.[2]
