Cryptocephalus sericeus is a species of cylindrical leaf beetles belonging to the family Chrysomelidae, subfamily Cryptocephalinae.

Its length is about 6-7 mm.

It is found in most of Europe, in the eastern Palearctic ecozone and in the Near East.
