Dagestan, you holy fatherland (Russian: Дагестан, ты отчизна святая, romanized: Dagestan, ty otchizna svyataya) was the anthem of the Republic of Dagestan in Russia. It was composed and written by Shirvani Chalayev. It was adopted in 2003 and relinquished in 2016. A new anthem was adopted on February 25, 2016.[1][2]
