INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM - The curriculum at Daniel Wright Junior High School focuses on students' skill development in core academic areas and extends beyond these to include music, fine arts, foreign language, physical education/health, clubs, athletics and community service. The curriculum envelops social/emotional learning as well as national educational technology standards. The school differentiates instruction to meet individual student needs through the Enrichment Learning Model (ELM). This approach, in addition to Response to Intervention initiatives, combines with the instructional program to help form successful learners.
The 2008 Illinois District and School Report Cards, based on results from the Illinois Standards Achievement Tests (ISATs) administered in March 2008, confirm recognition of School District 103 as one of the highest academically performing elementary school districts in the state.
