Early and personal life

She eventually moved to Fort Worth, Texas, when she was eight years old.[5] Maclean started singing at the age of eight, and led worship services at her church in her teens.[7] In addition, Maclean started to play the guitar and write songs at the age of 13.[7]

Maclean is of Italian heritage; her grandfather changed the family name from Martorella to Maclean.[8] Maclean announced via Twitter, January 8, 2013, that she was engaged to Donnie Petty.[4][8] They were married on May 11, 2013.[citation needed]
