David A. Hayes (born 22 October 1962) is an Australian Thoroughbred racehorse trainer and son of trainer Colin Hayes. Hayes has trained a total of 92 Group One winners, (74 in Australia, 17 in Hong Kong and 1 in Japan) including Melbourne Cup, Cox Plate, Caulfield Cup and Golden Slipper winners.

David Hayes became the youngest member to be admitted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2008. David has trained in excess of 2800 winners.[citation needed]
