David Cubillán (born July 27, 1987, in Maracaibo) is a Venezuelan professional basketball player. He played college basketball with Marquette Golden Eagles. He had been a key part of Marquette's bench play.

College career

While at Marquette, Cubillán has been the first man off the bench because the starting point guard, Dominic James, is a solid point guard. Cubillán's strengths include his quickness and his ability to shoot the three-point shot at a high percentage. As a freshman, he scored a career-high 20 points in a 75–71 win over Pittsburgh on March 3, 2007.[1]

Professional career

In July 2013, Cubillán signed with Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Basketball Super League.[2] He was soon later however released from the roster, and moved to Ashdod. Actually, he plays with trotamundos de Carabobo in the Venezuelan professional league. He is considered one of the best point guards in the country.

International games

Cubillan played five games for the Venezuela national basketball team at the 2014 South American Basketball Championship.[3]
