Dawson City

A Victorian-era travel agency opened in 1871 by Joseph Dean and John Dawson. John Dawson started at the MS&L Railway Company and in 1880, merged his company with Joseph Dean. It was eventually taken-over by London and North Eastern Railway and later nationalized under the British Transport Commission.[1]

In Literature

In the book, The Great Escape by Paul Brickhill, the name Dean and Dawson is used as a joke by the forgers who produce counterfeit documents for the escaping Prisoners of War.
