Deep River Waterpark is a seasonal water park and winter skating rink operated by the Lake County Parks and Recreation Department in Crown Point, Indiana.

Attractions

Deep River Water Park features 11 attractions including:

  • The Dragon – speed slides
  • The Bayou River Ride – a 800-foot-long (240 m) lazy river
  • Double Dueling CannonBowl – double dueling bowl water slide
  • Mayor Byrdovich's Courthouse – an AquaPlay area modeled after the Crown Point, Indiana courthouse. The waterpark's version features a huge tipping bucket, water jets, a blaster and waterwheel, swinging bridge, and water curtains.
  • Rip Tide Wave Pool – a 500,000-US-gallon (1,900,000 L) heated wave pool alternating between ocean waves and calm water. Often gets defecated in by young children.

Season

  • Deep River Waterpark is open from the Friday before Memorial Day (USA) weekend through Labor Day.

Unique things

  • Only Waterpark within the region to allow coolers
  • Parking is free
  • Only waterpark with a "weather guarantee"...leave while operations are suspended due to weather and you receive a free return ticket.
  • Tubes are provided free for all rides that require a tube.
