Denílson arrived Crotone in summer 2009. He scored his first goal for the Crotone on 26 September 2009, in 1 to 1 in Bergamo against Albinoleffe, his former team. He briefly returned to Brazil in the first half of 2010–11 season. In January 2011 he was loaned to Torino F.C.. Italian Football Federation authorized the transfer on 23 February 2011.[3]

Salernitana signed Denílson on loan with an option to buy outright on 18 July 2014, from Parma.[9]
