Diccon Edwards was a professional rugby player, playing international rugby league for Wales. He is currently coach of Leeds Carnegie Academy [1] and Otley.

He played club rugby union for Selby, Wakefield, Leicester Tigers, Newport RFC,[2] Leeds Carnegie and Selby and rugby league for Castleford.[3]

He was educated at Pocklington School and played for England Under 16's [4] and Under 18's.[5] He also played for England Colts and Under 21 levels and made his Yorkshire debut during the 1992/93 season. He also toured South Africa with the North in 1995.[6] and played for the North against Queensland.[7]

He played once for the Welsh national rugby league side, qualifying through his Welsh father.[8]

He retired through a shoulder and neck problem.[9]
