Dimdim Castle (Kurdish: Qelay Dimdim قەڵای دمدم, Persian: قلعه دیمدیم) was a Kurdish fortress located on top of Mount DimDim in West Azarbaijan Province of Iran, just west of Lake Urmia. According to Kurdish oral tradition the fortress dates from the pre-Islamic period. It was rebuilt by the Amir Khan Lepzerin in 1609.[1]
