Map of Gaelic Ireland showing its territory of the Ulaidh or Ulidia (kingdom) circa 900 A.D.

Doolan is the surname of ancient Gael royals. The Doolan (I. O'Duibhleachain) were chiefs of the Clan Breasail Mac Duileachain in an area of Gaelic Ireland's Ulidia (kingdom) near modern Kinelarty now in the Barony (Ireland) of Castlereagh.[1]
