Gábor Városi (born 1962) is a Hungarian painter and visual artist known for his vibrant, colourful paintings, often depicting dynamic cityscapes, abstract compositions and figurative elements. His work has been exhibited internationally and he is considered one of Hungary's most important contemporary artists.

Early life and education

Városi was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1962. He studied at the University of Pécs, where he graduated from the Faculty of Visual Arts, majoring in painting. Career

Városi’s artistic journey began in the late 1980s, and he quickly gained recognition for his distinctive style. His work have been exhibited in numerous galleries across Europe and the United States, including notable solo exhibitions in Budapest, Vienna, and New York. Artistic style

Városi’s artistic style is strongly influenced by the Hungarian modernist tradition and the kinetic art movement.
