Jafar Sadeghi (born on 20 November 1986) is a documentary filmmaker, writer, director and editor from Iran.[1] His documentaries include Farshad Aghaye Goal and Hamid Symphony.[2] [3] which were screened in Iranian cinemas and at international film festivals.[4]
Early life and education[edit]
Jafar Sadeghi has a master's degree in civil engineering and graduated from the Iranian Youth Cinema Society . [5] [6]
Career[edit]
He is mostly known for 2 documentaries about the lives of famous Iranian football stars, Farshad Pious and Hamid Alidoosti , but he has had significant activities in making documentaries with social issues. Jafar Sadeghi has won many awards in important Iranian and international festivals. Winning an award at the Iran Documentary Festival and an award at the Milan Festival is one of Jafar Sadeghi's most important achievements in documentary cinema.[7] [8] [9] He continues to produce documentary films and has been working as a cinema instructor in the Iranian Youth Cinema Society since 2023, also an expert and critic in specialized Iran television documentary TV Shows.[10] [11]
