Oyo state college of Nursing and Midwifery Eleyele oyo state was the first School of Nursing in Oyo state Nigeria[1].it was establish in 1949 and was first cited at old Army Barack Eleyele[2][3][4]
History[edit]
The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, formerly the Oyo State School of Nursing (established in 1949 in Eleyele, Ibadan),[3] and the Oyo State School of Midwifery (established in 1954 in Yemetu) were merged into the present college on August 24, 2005, through an act of the Oyo State House of Assembly. This transformation, signed into law by Governor Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, upgraded the schools to a college, addressing challenges and aligning with standards. The College officially started on March 7, 2014, with a satellite campus in Kishi offering Basic Midwifery.[5]

Admission Requirements to the College[edit]
Applicants must score nothing less than 200 in Jamb utme exam and must choose OYSCOM as first choice.have a minimum of five credits in WAEC/SSCE/GCE obtained in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, not exceeding two sittings. Eligible candidates should have the minimum required credit pass within two sittings and be at least sixteen (16) years old upon admission.[12]

Oyo state school of nursing and Midwifery Eleyele hold is first convocation for 900 students that graduated from the school. in there merge convocation ceremony the HOD of the school mention many challenges faced by the college staying for nine years without convocating any set of graduating students.[5]
