"E Kale The One" is 2013 single and music video with music composed by Dinesh Subasinghe, video directed by Ranushka Fernando,lyrics written by Christina Fernando, and featuring vocalist Charmika Sirimanne.on 7 August 2013 'E kale the x' music video has reached 1.4 million views on 'YouTube' and Passed Sri Lankan pop singer Athma Liyanage's 'Hitha dura handa' ratings on YouTube and became the most view-able Sri Lankan song on YouTube.,[1][2]

Background and musical style[edit]

"E Kale the one" is the first official music video released by composer Dinesh Subasinghe since returning from the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, and his second alternative rock music video. His first one was Mona Lisa with his band Dee R Cee in 2004. The music combines traditional rock instruments, such as the electric guitar, with the classical violin played by Subasinghe. It is sung by Sri Lankan vocalists Charmika Sirimanne and Trishala Wijethunga. The lyrics are by Christina Fernando.[3] After the YouTube record the production team has redirected the song as 'E Kale the X'

Visual effects[edit]

The video is filmed in 3D. According to Subasinghe:

For the first time liquid effects have been used to create monsters for a Sri Lankan production. VFX editor Ranushka Fernando of Digital Line Computer Institute used the techniques used by James Cameron and Rupert Sanders.[3]

Cast and crew[edit]

The cast includes Sri Lanka artists Dananjaya Siriwardhana, Vishwa Kodikara, Rajitha Chamikara (Ping Pong), Suresh Gamage, Niroshan Wijesinghe, Shashe Angeleena, and vocalists Trishala Wijethunga and Charmika Sirimanne. The composer, Dinesh Subasinghe, is also one of the actors in the video. The video was directed by Ranushka Fernando who also designed the visual effects. The editing has done by the Digital Line Computer Institute team (Gihan Sethunga, Dilan Sameera Lekamge, and Suranga Peiries).[4][5]
