Edwin Elliott Carnett (born October 21, 1916) is a former left fielder in Major League Baseball who played for three different teams from 1941 to 1945. Listed at 6' 0", 185 lb., he batted and threw left-handed. He was born in Springfield, Missouri. Since the death of Mike Sandlock on April 4, 2016, Carnett has been the oldest living former major league player, as well as the oldest living former member of the Boston Braves, Chicago White Sox, and Cleveland Indians organizations.

Carnett, nicknamed "Lefty", entered the majors in 1941 with the Boston Braves, playing in two games before joining the US Navy during World War II (1942–43). After discharge, he played for the Chicago White Sox (1944) and Cleveland Indians (1945). In a three-season career, Carnett posted a 3.40 ERA with four strikeouts, three walks, and 5 ⅓ innings in six pitching appearances. He did not have a decision. Carnett is the oldest living major league baseball player.
