Eddy Joe Cotton (real name Zebu Recchia) is the author of Hobo: A Young Man’s Thoughts on Trains and Tramping in America, which made it to the Denver Post best-seller list. Cotton wrote the book about his first tramping adventures at age 19 after leaving his father's home in Denver, Colorado. Cotton was also the ringleader and hobo poet of the Yard Dogs Road Show.

"Gen X's most famous self-styled, suit-wearing hobo... what makes Hobo unique is Cotton's ability to so clearly define and interpret the lifestyle and to shape his accumulated knowledge into a trusty how-to guide for aspiring slackers."
