Eero Haapalainen

Eero Haapalainen (Approx. Kuopio 1880 - Petrozavodsk 1937), was a Finnish Communist leader. Haapalainen fought in the Finnish Civil War and after the reds lost he fled to the Soviet Union. He was executed during the Great Purge. He were born in Kuopio, in eastern Finland. His Mother Wilhelmiina was working in Minna Canth's fabricshop, and father Aaro father was carpenter.

He was a columnist of a Työmies newspaper, and later Secretary of Helsinki's workers group.
