The electrical distribution industry encompasses the wholesale and retail sales of electrical equipment and products for electricity distribution. Other channels of electrical distribution include online sales, industrial suppliers, home building centers, electronic suppliers, and manufacturers selling direct.

In the United Kingdom, the Electrical Distributors Association (EDA) was formed in 1998 and were previously known as the Electrical Wholesalers Federation (established in 1914). The EDA represent the electrical wholesale distribution industry within the UK.

The electrical distribution industry is estimated to be over a 70 billion dollar market[citation needed].
