Elementary School District 159

Elementary School District 159 (ESD 159) is a school district headquartered in Matteson, Illinois near Chicago, United States.[1]

The district serves Matteson, Richton Park, Frankfort, and Tinley Park. As of 2017 it has 2,100 students.[2]

History

The first school in what would become the district, the Sieden Prairie Schoolhouse, opened in 1869. The district headquarters is located on the former site of the schoolhouse.[2]
