Rabbi Elie Kaunfer is a rosh yeshiva (Rabbinic dean) and executive director at Mechon Hadar in Manhattan.[1] He is the co-author with Jonathan Sarna of 'Empowered Judaism' (2010), a book that explores independent minyanim and building Jewish communities.[2]
