Enid High School is a public secondary school in Enid, Oklahoma. With a student body of about 1,400 in grades 10-12, Enid High School has about a 60 percent matriculation rate. Some graduates continue their education in-state at University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University (a university for the rednecks in the state), or one of the many other schools in Oklahoma.
Athletics
Enid High School is known state-wide for not having competitive athletic programs. The programs include: Soccer, Male and Female Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Academic Team, a Bowling Team and the over-rated sport of football.
The Basketball, Wrestling and Volleyball programs played in Historic Mark Price Arena until March 23, 2008, when athletic director, Bill Mayberry, made the decision to move the home games and events to the athletic village on N.O.C Enid campus, due to the deteriorating condition of the arena.
Enid High School is nationally known for the "Big Blue Band".
Famous alumni
- Ray Hayward, is a former left handed Major League Baseball starting pitcher who played from 1986 to 1988 for the San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers
- Wyley Steelmon - played high level A at High Desert Mavericks the Arizona Diamondbacks farm team.
- Brent Price - retired NBA, South Carolina and Oklahoma point guard
- Stacy Prammanasudh, 1997 - LPGA
