Entrepreneurial Spark® is the world’s largest free accelerator for start-up and scaleup businesses. Open to businesses from all sectors and completely free, Entrepreneurial Spark® takes no equity in supported businesses.

Following on from the huge success of its initial three hatcheries in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ayrshire, the world’s largest free business accelerator now operates in Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, Belfast and Manchester.

Hatcheries in a further three locations, Cardiff, Newcastle and Milton Keynes, will launch later this year, with a Hatchery in London opening in February 2017. Entrepreneurial Spark®’s vision is to develop an entrepreneurial revolution across the UK.

Our Vision

"To inspire and enable positive social change through the action on Entrepreneuring®"[1]

History

Entrepreneurial Spark was founded to support business start-ups in (and from) Scotland, through the development of entrepreneurial mindsets and behaviours. It was founded by Saltire Foundation fellow Jim Duffy, who featured the set up in the BBC Two Scotland Documentary 'The Entrepreneurs'.[2] Businesses currently receiving support from Entrepreneurial Spark include Mo's Cookie Dough, Alphabet BabiesFandlexiworkforce among others.

The Role of Our Mentors

Entrepreneurial Spark needs Mentors to coach, support, push and help steer the companies (Chiclets) in their Hatcheries. They are looking for senior people who have the skills, experiences and great communication to give our Chiclets that extra edge.

The role of the Mentor is to provide expert support to Chiclets and ultimately increase the likelihood of their business becoming a roaring success.
