Eric Barnard (politician)

Eric Walter Barnard AM (born 13 July 1924) is a former Australian politician.

He was born in Mole Creek, Tasmania. In 1959 he was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly as a Labor member for Franklin. He served as Speaker from 1972 to 1975 and a minister from 1975 to 1979, when he resigned his seat and left politics.[1]
