Career

Stephenson was involved with Image Comics during its formative years, having heard from co-founder Jim Valentino about plans for the new company before it was announced.[2] In the 1990s he was editor and/or co-writer for significant runs of Brigade, Glory, New Men, Prophet, Supreme, Team Youngblood, and Youngblood.[1] With Erik Larsen he co-wrote several issues of Wolverine for Marvel Comics in 1999.[1] Stephenson worked with Valentino and Larsen during their tenures as editorial head of "Image Central",[3] and was appointed to the position of publisher of Image Comics in 2008, replacing Larsen. During this time he began writing Nowhere Men and They're Not Like Us.

In 2014 Stephenson was nominated for an Eisner Award for writing Nowhere Men.[1]
