The European School of Costa Rica is located in San Pablo de Heredia, Costa Rica. Enrollment is about 500. It has the International Baccalaureate which begins in the eleventh grade. It has kindergarten through twelfth grade. There's a Montessori Pre-K adjoined, called the Treehouse. Wednesdays end early for clubs. The school is 22 years from creation.[when?]

Languages

Instruction is taught in English. 60% of students are Costa Rican. French and Mandarin may have interpretation. Spanish is taught for non-speakers.

Facilities

It has a 3 soccer fields, 2 basketball courts and a gymnasium. Class size is 20 maximum, music programs are growing. The curriculum the director Ms. Anne created is the key. Teachers hale from over 15 countries. There is a very good, positive energy. Simple and effective policies with freedom and respect abound.

Lunch is organic and local. It does not include soft drinks. Students and teachers eat together, students learning polite conduct and how to set and clear in turn.

Staff

Headmistress Anne Aronson's (French), husband is high-ranking in Cafe Brit Costa Rica.
