Evan Scott Olson is a rock singer and songwriter based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Born in West Point, New York during the "Summer of Love", 1967, his father was an officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Olson has recorded eight albums including "One Room" (Universal), "Red" (LoveCat Music) and "Eternal Bliss" (independent release). Although he primarily plays guitar, he plays most of the instruments on his CDs. In the late 1980s, while still in college, he was in the group Majosha with Ben Folds. He then went on to become a member of the pop group Bus Stop. He has also written and recorded several television commercial jingles including songs for The Hershey Company and Mercedes Benz. His songs have been featured in numerous television shows and movies including Sex and the City, 90210, Friday Night Lights, In America, Scooby-Doo and MTV's The Hills. In 2012, his song "Another Sunny Day" was featured in the movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days". Evan is the main composer of music for the show Tech Toys 360, which is an original show on the Velocity cable TV channel.

Baywatch theme song

On the DVD release of the pilot and the first season of Baywatch, Evan Olson's song "Strong Enough" replaced "Above the Waterline" by Kim Carnes which was the original used during the TV airing of the show.
