Everlane is an online clothing retailer. The organization is headquartered in San Francisco with a small team in New York.[citation needed]

History

Everlane was founded in 2010, and by 2011 they received 1.1M in seed funding.[1] Everlane started with a referral invite list that that gained 60,000 subscribers in 5 days although the company only had 1,500 t-shirts in inventory.[2] In 2012, Everlane opened a pop-up shop in New York during the holidays. The store was open for 2 weeks, with select merchandise available for purchase in-store.[3]

In July 2015, the company appointed Rebekka Bay as Head of Product and Design. Bay was previously the Creative Director at the Gap. As of July 2015, the company said that Bay and her team will be based out of New York. Everlane's then current head of design, Petra Langerova, remained as an advisor.[4]

In 2014, Everlane launched their partnership with delivery company Postmates to provide same-day delivery to consumers in San Francisco[5] and New York.

In 2015, Founder Michael Preysman, was included in Forbes' 30 Under 30 for his work on the firm in "reinventing retail and E-Commerce."[6] Everlane launched their mobile app in 2015. The app features the current weather updates in order to provide suggestions for what to wear alongside the weather descriptions.[7]
