FC Araks was an Armenian football club based in the town of Ararat. The club played in the Armenian Premier League.

Club history

The club was founded in 2001 as FC Araks (not to be confused with FC Araks Ararat who would later relocated to Yerevan and renamed FC Spartak Yerevan). After the club resumed operations, Araks had to settle for playing in the lower Armenian leagues, since its spot in the premier league had been yielded to Spartak Yerevan.

In 2003, the club got into financial crisis, and by 2005 it had disappeared from the stage completely and is currently inactive.
