Dr.Faramarz Tamanna (born 14 Februari 1977) is the Director General of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Afghanistan) and meanwhile, chancellor of University of Afghanistan in Kabul [1] [2] .[3] He holds his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India) in International Studies and also from Tehran University in International Relations. Dr. Tamanna has previously worked as Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has held other positions in Afghan diplomatic missions abroad. He, also, has taught in several universities. He is the author of two books (“Afghanistan’s Foreign Policy” and “US Foreign Policy towards Afghanistan”) and tens of articles covering security and international relations.[2]

Faramarz took his PhD in international relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India in November 2014.
