Farid Elias Khazen (also Farid Elias el-Khazen) is a Lebanese politician and professor of political science at the American University of Beirut.

Education

Farid received a PhD in international studies from Johns Hopkins University. He also earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Missouri State University. In addition, he briefly studied at Cornell University.[1]

Work

Farid has been a professor and Chairman of Political Studies at the American University of Beirut.[2][3][4] He is also a current MP affiliated with the Free Patriotic Movement.[5] He received 52.4% of the vote in his district in the general election of 2009,[6] and he won 60% of the vote in the general election of 2005.[7] He makes regular media appearances, discussing a variety of topics.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
