Fartha is a small townland in south County Cork, Ireland.[1] Fartha consists of 454 acres (1.84 km2) of good farming land, predominantly tillage. The origins of the townland are believed to be related to a burial place, land of tombs and graves. There is a ringfort and a famine village in the townland. Today, (2007) many of the family names still exist which resided here 150 years ago.

Economy

Fartha is home to the internationally renowned Joseph Walsh Furniture studio.[2][3]
