Federico Chiesa (Italian pronunciation: [fedeˈriko ˈkjɛza]; born 25 October 1997 is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Fiorentina.
Early life
Born in Genoa, Italy, Chiesa is the son of former footballer Enrico Chiesa.[2]
Club career
Fiorentina
In his first season with the Primavera squad, Chiesa was fielded seven times, in which he scored a single goal and received one yellow card during the 2014–15 season.
In the 2015–16 season, he featured 23 times for Fiorentina Primavera; scoring 7 goals and receiving six yellow cards.[3]
Chiesa signed a professional contract with ACF Fiorentina in February 2016. He made his competitive debut for Fiorentina in a 2–1 away defeat at the hands of Juventus on the opening day of the 2016–17 Serie A season.[3] He was replaced at half-time by substitute Cristian Tello.[4]
On 29 September, Chiesa made his Europa League debut in Fiorentina's 5–1 home win over Qarabağ.[citation needed]
