Ferrara Bakery and Cafe was established in 1892 by Antonio Ferrara and claims to be America's first espresso bar.[1] It is located in the heart of Little Italy and offers a variety of Italian delicacies that include: cakes, cookies, pastries, desserts, and gourmet specialty items. Ferrara has remained a family owned business since its inception and is operated at its original location on Grand Street in New York City borough of Manhattan by the family's fifth generation of bakers. Many of their items can also be purchased through their website and shipped throughout the United States.
