Description
English: Élisabeth Bruyère (March 19, 1818 – April 5, 1876) was the founder of the Sisters of Charity of Bytown. She opened the first hospital in what would become Ottawa and the first bilingual school in Ontario.
Français : Élisabeth Bruyère, née le 19 mars 1818 à L'Assomption dans le Bas-Canada et morte le 5 avril 1876 à Ottawa, est la fondatrice des Sœurs Grises de Bytown. On lui doit la création du premier hôpital d'Ottawa et la première école bilingue de l'Ontario.
