ヤンママとは、1994年の流行語。
25歳までに子供を生んだ若い母親のこと。 1980年代のツッパリブームを経て、1990年前後においては不良少年、少女が交際した結果、中学校、高等学校在学中もしくは卒業直後に妊娠、出産するケースが顕著となった。 1994年には、その名残として、20歳前後という若い年齢にも係わらず育児を行う母親が急増。メディアを通して世間に「ヤンママ」として認知され、流行するに至った。
語源は「ヤンキー」と「ママ」の合成である。 最近では「ヤンキー」の語感が薄れ、ただ単に「若い（＝英語Young）ママ」という意味合いで使われる傾向がある。
