| Description |
Journeys end having arrived in 2 hours 30 minutes late on 16 April 2023 - 640950 on train R4112, 05:49 Beclean pe Someș to Sighetu Marmației. My original plan had the train arrived on time at 10:00 was to have taken a long distance bus at 10:.30 from just outside the station through to Satu Mare. However the delay put stop to that. Even if it had arrived on time, the small bus station opposite the road had its gate closed over the entrance and quite possibly no services were running that day as it was the Orthodox church Easter Sunday. Locals waiting outside were phoning up for taxis and by luck I managed to get one to take me to Satu Mare which was slightly shorter in distance to keep the fare down. I made Baia Mare in good time to get some well overdue food before taking a train to Satu Mare. |
