English: Horlacher Beer was a major brewer in Allentown, located at 311 Gordon Street. It was started in 1882, taking over the Wise Brewery that dated to 1866. A gathering of company executives is shown here, probably in June 1919, welcoming back one of their colleagues from service with the Army during World War I. The oil painting on the back wall shows Betsy Ross stitching the American Flag was used in their Beer advertisements. Horlachers closed in 1978 with decline of local breweries.
