English: A commemorative plaque purporting that in 1942-1944, 200,000 Poles were killed in KL Warschau (Warsaw concentration camp), as a part of Pabst Plan (which envisaged rebuilding Warsaw as a Nazi model city). The plaque refers to a pseudohistorical concept, according to which said number of Poles were murdered in a giant gas chamber located in the tunnels near Warszawa Zachodnia railway station. There is no evidence such gas chambers existed. According to the vast majority of historians, the total number of killed people is estimated to be an order of magnitude lower than suggested on the plaque.
Polski: Tablica okolicznościowa sugerująca, jakoby w latach 1942-1944 200 tys. Polaków zostało zamordowanych w KL Warschau jako część planu Pabsta (mającego za cel przebudowanie Warszawy na manier nazistowski). Tablica ta odwołuje się do koncepcji pseudohistorycznej, wg której owa liczba Polaków została zamordowana w ogromnej komorze gazowej w tunelach koło stacji Warszawa Zachodnia. Nie ma dowodów na istnienie tych komór gazowych. Wg zdecydowanej większości historyków szacuje się, że liczba osób zamordowanych w obozie jest o rząd wielkości niższa niż podana na tablicy. |
