Summary

Description

The VE Commodore was built from August 2006-May 2013. The 1st of the 4th generation Commodores, on a new platform, the design completely Australian, not based on the European Opel like previous models. The engines were carried over from the previous VZ. Available in Sedan, Wagon and Utility. The Series II arrived in August 2010, a new look front fascia and an aerodynamic lip to the boot lid. Models available were; Omega, SV6, SS, Berlina and Calais. Also the full size luxury cars, the Statesman and Caprice, more room than the standard Commodore, most panels were different. The Caprice got FE2 suspension, 18in alloys and dual rear seat LCD screens. HSV also built performance sedans for Holden, available were; Clubsport R8 in sedan or wagon, GTS, Senator and Grange. Also Maloo R8 ute. The Series II HSV cars got daytime running lights in the front fascia. The HSV Grange, based on the Caprice got the 325kw HSV 6.2 V8
