English: This map shows the footprint of the 2014 King Fire, which burned more than 97,000 acres in El Dorado County, California. The fire, which was caused by arson, destroyed 80 structures but caused no fatalities. This map was made in QGIS using data from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), OpenStreetMap, and others.
