Description
English: The Church of Saint-Séverin (French: Église Saint-Séverin) is a Roman Catholic church located at the intersection of the Rue Saint-Séverin and the Rue Saint-Jacques in the Latin Quarter of Paris. It was built at the beginning of the thirteenth century in the Gothic style, and rebuilt in the Late Gothic style in 1448 after being damaged by fire, and expanded or remodeled in 1489, 1520, 1643, 1673, and 1684. It is one of the oldest churches that remains standing on the Left Bank, and continues to be used as a place of worship.
