Fistulinella venezuelae (Singer & Digilio) Singer

Image location: Salto Pilón, San Germán, Puerto Rico, USA

Pileus 3.7 cm diameter, cuticle sticky when dry, separable. Tubes ~5-7 mm long. 1-2 pores per mm. Stipe 50 mm x 5 mm with slight fuzz/short bristles observable through handlens on the edge of stipe section. Stipe with some yellow discoloration, also has a separable cuticle. Smell faint, pleasant. Taste kind of salty, but specimen had already wilted a bit. Growing on edge of trail near stream in mesophytic forest under Calophyllum sp.

Based on microscopic features: Cystidia morphology looks more like F. venezuelae than F. gloeocarpa
