Description
English: 21 cm RK L/22 at Preveza, Greece. This is a copy of another picture, but now with corrected orientation of the horizon.

Based on the overall appearance and the number of coils on the barrel, the gun on the picture identifies as a 21 cm RK L/22. There is also a direct reference that the only slightly modern gun at Preveza in 1897 was a 21 cm RK L/22. However, as the picture is from post 1911, another obsolete gun might have been moved to Preveza in the meantime.

I (Grieg2) therefore did some calculations and wrote them on this picture. The outcome supports the identification.

Gebaseerd op de vorm en het aantal ringen om de loop is dit een Krupp 21 cm RK L/22 kanon. Er is ook een referentie dat in 1897 het enige enigszins moderne kanon ter plaatse van dit type was. Echter omdat de foto van na 1911 is, kon er natuurlijk in de tussentijd ook een ander gedateerd kanon naar Preveza gebracht zijn.

Ik heb daarom wat berekeningen gemaakt, en deze op de afbeelding genoteerd. Deze ondersteunen de identificatie als Krupp 21 cm RK L/22 kanon.
