Summary
| Description |
Final stretch of new line covered on my last full day in Poland during my August 2023 trip ended up here, Chocianów. The Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian) region has been one of the better ones at expanding the rail network over the last few years with many reopenings closed by PKP. As seen here, the old station building still stands on the left whilst a newly built raised platform with better accessibility constructed on the opposite side of the track. Reopened in December 2022 having closed in 2022 the route joins up with with the main Wrocław to Görlitz line at Chojnów via Rokitki. Seen here is Koleje Dolnośląskie single railcar SA135-001 on train KD60468, 15:56 Chocianów to Legnica on 30 August 2023. |
