Description 428-GX-KN 23563: Cold War, Soviet Ships. Atlantic Ocean. A P-3A Orion patrol aircraft of Patrol Squadron Eight, VP-8, from the Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine, flies near the Soviet class Kanin class guided missile destroyer Boykiy, 290, as the sip is en-route to Boston to commemorate the 30th anniversary of “VE” day. Photograph released May 10, 1975. U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2016/05/03).
