Summary

Description 574 Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) at 16th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1903-1904 for the Knickerbocker Jewlery Company, designed by Simeon B. Eisendrath. The cornice was designed to attract the attention of riders on the 6th Avenue El (elevated train). The building was designated a NYC landmark in 1990.
